I feel like not enough people talk about how messy delivering websites actually is when you start doing real volume. Everyone talks about getting clients but nobody talks about the awkward middle part after the client is interested. I remember when I first started doing websites I had every type of deal possible. Some people wanted escrow. Some wanted the full site before paying. Some paid half upfront. Some wanted invoices. Some disappeared for a week after approving everything. Every client somehow had their own custom process. At first I thought being flexible was a good thing but honestly it just made everything chaotic. Nothing felt scalable because every project worked differently. Even if you are good at building websites, the actual delivery and payment process becomes the bottleneck. Hello I am curious about the election criteria for ICML financial aid. If anyone have been granted financial aid would you mind sharing your profile. Somehow being a black woman ( 2 underrepresented groups) with one paper accepted at the main conference and two papers accepted at different workshops is not enough to get financial aid. Are they solely for oral papers perhaps ? Last year a colleague (white man) with one spotlight paper did not get it neither. Maybe you need to belong to all minority groups ( half black half Latina Native American woman lgbtq+ and so on so far and what have you) with at least 3 oral papers 💀💀 to get any sort of help? I'm running into an issue with an ablation study for a paper I'm preparing. I trained a model. The model achieved my best result, and I saved the trained checkpoint ( .pth file). Now my supervisor wants me to perform an ablation study by removing components and how it impacts the accuracy. My concern is that if I retrain from scratch, the accuracies will not exactly match the original run due to randomness, different seeds, etc. is there any way i can do the ablation study without retraining?
