Por qué Simulated Annealing El espacio de disposiciones posibles es combinatorio y lleno de óptimos locales. Una búsqueda voraz se queda atascada en la primera solución "decente". El Simulated Annealing imita el enfriamiento de un metal: al principio acepta movimientos malos con cierta probabilidad (alta "temperatura"), lo que le permite escapar de óptimos locales; según baja la temperatura, se vuelve cada vez más exigente y converge. Es una metaheurística ideal cuando el espacio de soluciones es irregular y no tienes gradiente. La función objetivo puntúa cada disposición de 0 a 100 según ergonomía: espacio de circulación, relaciones entre muebles, acceso a luz y aberturas. Automating an app with no DOM: driving Flutter/canvas editors with coordinates only
In my last post I said that for normal HTML pages, element-based automation ( find / read_page ) beats coordinates every time. This post is about the apps where that advice is useless. Flutter Web apps. Canvas-rendered editors. Every button and panel you can see on screen doesn't exist in the DOM — it's all pixels painted onto a single canvas. find returns nothing. read_page 's accessibility tree is effectively empty. I got Claude to drive the Rive editor (an animation tool built with Flutter) all the way through selecting assets and exporting them. Here's the procedure that survived contact with reality. Step zero: confirm you're actually in this situation Coordinate automation is fragile, so you should only accept it after ruling out the alternative. The test is quick: run read_page . If the visible UI has almost no corresponding nodes, you're looking at a canvas-rendered app, and coordinates are the only interface you have. The four rules 1. Wait for the window size to settle before anything else Same failure mode as my previous post: right after load, the viewport hasn't reached its final width (I measured 1664→1920 over 2–3 seconds), and clicks based on an early screenshot land to the right of the target. Read innerWidth via javascript_tool twice; only proceed when two consecutive reads match. But matching innerWidth alone isn't enough — also confirm devicePixelRatio hasn't changed since the screenshot you're about to act on (a follow-up to my previous post surfaced this: when DPI or scaling changes, the whole coordinate space rescales the same way, but the new values stabilize immediately, so an innerWidth -only check can't catch it). Canvas apps deserve extra paranoia here, because there is no element-based fallback when a click misses. 2. I built a browser CAD where you type a sentence and walk through the house
Concept design for a building is slow and expensive. A homeowner planning an extension, or a contractor trying to win a job, is stuck between two bad options: pay a drafter $500–2,000 for a concept package, or fight SketchUp's learning curve for a week. Meanwhile the actual idea — "a 4-bed duplex with a garage and a palm out front" — fits in one sentence. So I built Forge3D Spaces : you type that sentence, and a few seconds later you're walking through a furnished 3D house in your browser — with measured floor plans, DXF for AutoCAD, and a cost estimate that come out of the same model. No install. Here's how it works under the hood. The pipeline: sentence → structured plan → building The naive approach — "ask an LLM to emit a 3D scene" — falls apart fast. Models are bad at spatial consistency; walls don't meet, rooms overlap, doors float. So the LLM never touches geometry directly. It emits a structured program , and a deterministic solver turns that into a watertight building. The prompt becomes a spec. A strict JSON-schema call (OpenRouter, json_schema response format with every field required) turns "4-bed duplex with a garage" into a room program: room types, target areas, adjacencies, storeys. A slicing-tree solver lays it out. This is the old floorplanning trick from chip design — recursively split a rectangle with horizontal/vertical cuts until every room has its area. A squarify pass keeps rooms from collapsing into corridors. The output is exact rectangles with real dimensions, guaranteed non-overlapping and gap-free. Walls, openings, roof, furniture get generated from the solved plan. Every door and window is placed by rule, not by vibes. Because the plan is a real data structure, the 2D floor plan, the 3D model, the elevations, and the bill of quantities are all views of the same thing . Drag a wall and they all move together. # Reflection – Week 2
" Shifting from Prompt Engineering to Infrastructure Orchestration " Week 2 was a mix of excitement, curiosity, and a little bit of frustration. I learned a lot of new concepts, but I also realized that the best way to understand them is by actually trying them out. Reading or watching tutorials helps, but experimenting with the tools made everything click for me. One of the topics I enjoyed learning about was Claude Code. Before this week, I mainly thought of AI as something that answers questions or helps write content. Seeing how Claude can assist with coding, debugging, and understanding projects made me see it differently. It feels less like a search engine and more like someone you can work with while building something. That really changed how I think about using AI in development. Another interesting topic was Skills. I liked the idea that you can give an LLM specific skills so it behaves more like a specialist instead of a general assistant. It made me realize that the quality of the output doesn't only depend on the model itself, but also on how you guide it and what tools or skills you give it. That was something I hadn't really thought about before, and I can already see how useful it could be for different types of projects. I also learned about Subagents, which was a new concept for me. At first, I didn't really understand why you would need multiple agents instead of just asking one AI to do everything. But after learning more about it, I started to see the benefit. Having different agents focus on different tasks seems like a much cleaner and more organized way to work, especially for bigger projects. The biggest challenge I faced this week was running out of tokens while practicing. It happened a few times, and honestly, it was a little annoying because I would be in the middle of exploring an idea and suddenly had to stop. Even though it was frustrating, it also made me think more carefully about how I write prompts and how I use my conversations.
